FOX Television recently launched a new brand initiative for its saturday morning cartoon lineup, the FOXBOX. A prime time sunday special heralded its arrival.
I created the intro animation as well as a number of secondary anims which included compositied live action footage.
Many of these animations are used to this day for bumpers, commercials, promotions, etc.
Over seven minutes of animation was required for the half hour special which was hosted by the ‘talented’ children from the feature films Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2 and Spy Kids 3D.

Tech Info:
Morph targets were used to define many basic permutations of the Box. The targets were wired to on screen sliders to streamline the animation process. Wired morphs and a combination of squash stretch and bend instilled a dynamic energy to an otherwise linear box.
